Dr. Drew Hohensee, DC, CCSP
Dr. Hohensee gained much of his love for sports from running track and cross- country for UW-Wisconsin as a badger. His focus is on functional movement and treatment techniques that incorporate movement. He is a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician (CCSP) and a Full Body Certified Active Release Technique (ART) provider. He is also a certified Corrective Exercise Specialist (CES). More >>
Adam Stadtlander PT, DPT, SCS
Adam graduated from Montana State University with a Bachelors in Exercise Science in 2001 and worked in the fitness industry as personal trainer until graduating from Chatham University with Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2007. He spent the last 9 years at Kaiser Permanente working with a wide variety of people with an emphasis in orthopedics and sports. His treatment approach utilizes patient education, instruction on functional movement patterns and corrective exercises combined with focused manual therapy. Whether it's getting back to an elite level of sports competition or just working on getting back to an active, normal life after an injury, he loves to help people get their function back and feel better.
When not at work he can often be found running in Forrest Park, Mt Tabor, or the Gorge. He has love of all things movement from yoga, biking, martial arts, and pilates to body weight focused workouts which are all needed to help him keep up with his wife and three young boys.
Stefan Furst, LMT
Stefan has an extensive background in both athletics and massage. Born in Vienna, Austria he competed in gymnastics and sports-acrobatics for the Austrian National Team. He attended Sports-Instructor school and coaching school for gymnastics, flexibility and strength training at the Wiener Staatsoper Ballettschule (Vienna State Opera Ballet School) and the Koho Shiatsu School at the Shintenoshi Institute in Austria. He has had further training in Structural Integration in Santa Monica, CA and Sports Massage Training at the Sports Massage Institute in Costa Mesa, CA. Stefan continues his personalfitness and dedicates extensive time towards educating others about body balance and social involvement.
Chris Swan is a massage therapist and cycling coach. He got into the sports performance and wellness field after focusing on being a fully devoted athlete and bike racer. Learning as much as possible about training and recovery was a major focus for Chris, which led to working in coaching and massage therapy. After finishing college at University of Oregon, he went on to Massage school at East West college. Chris enjoys applying his knowledge and experience to helping others in their goals in cycling and achieving great health.
As a massage therapist, Chris focuses on deep tissue and structural integration techniques to help people recover from daily stress, injuries and training. In addition to working with numerous individuals, Chris has been part of team staff as massage therapist for Hagens Berman U23 cycling team and Axeon Pro Cycling team for numerous events, such as USA U23 national championships, and US Pro challenge in Colorado.
As a cycling coach, Chris has worked with many individuals and teams at all levels, from people just getting into the sport or training for fun and fitness, to elite level riders attending national level races such as Elite Road Nationals, Collegiate Nationals, and Cyclocross National championships. Chris uses scientific approaches using power and heart rate analysis to work with riders, as well as solid communication. Emphasis on proper training and recovery in balance with your training, family and life commitments is a large component of what makes Chris successful as a coach.
Aaron Simpson is a personal trainer and running coach experienced in creating customized exercise and nutrition plans for beginners and serious athletes alike. With more than five years and 5,000 sessions of experience, Aaron has honed approach his approach to crafting exercise and nutrition plans with one goal in mind—to set people up for success. More >>
Pam Spuehler is a personal trainer, nutritionist, and sport specific strength and conditioning coach. During her time as a student-athlete at Boston University where she earned her degree in Psychology, she became the most decorated field hockey player in BU history. She was a three time Division I All-American and was a finalist for the Honda Broderick Award, given annually to the top field hockey player in the country. She was also awarded as the Boston University female athlete of the year in 2008. In 2014 she was inducted into the BU Athletic Hall of Fame.
A Certified Personal Trainer (National Council on Strength and Fitness) and USA Field Hockey certified Level 1 and 2 Coach, Pam has a passion for overall health and fitness. Pam’s passion began when she was growing up in Massachusetts where she spent all of her time playing sports (mainly ice hockey, field hockey, and lacrosse). Her personal experiences as an athlete shaped who she is today.
Lyndsay discovered yoga in 2006 and became a daily practitioner after relocating from the east coast to Portland in 2009. Following several years of adopting the instructors and classes that make up Portland’s yoga culture, she took the plunge and completed her 200-hour training in the spring of 2015. More >>

Dr. Melissa Shays
Dr. Melissa Shays is a Naturopathic Physician and licensed Acupuncturist. Dr. Shays earned her Bachelor of Science from Utah University following a year of AmeriCorps service helping the medically underserved. She attended the National College of Naturopathic Medicine where she graduated with both a Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine and a Master of Science in Oriental Medicine.
Melissa has practiced at Portland Women's Wellness Center, an integrated gynecology clinic and Upper Echelon Fitness, a sports performance facility. She gained experience in treating hormones, pain, sports injury and endurance athletes. She works with several cycling teams and enjoys helping individuals ranging from national level elite cyclists to patients wanting to become more active.
Melissa is a member of the Medicine of Cycling group, Oncology Association of Naturopathic Physicians, Professional Ski Instructors of America and the American Academy of Pain Management.

Shawn Bostad of Steelhead Coaching
Shawn Bostad has over 15 years of fitness, marketing and sales experience. He's originally from Guaynabo, Puerto Rico, but eventually moved to Stevens Point, Wisconsin. Wisconsin shaped him into the athlete and coach that he is today. He is now the owner and Director of Steelhead coaching. Steelhead Coaching offers group and individualized triathlon and strength coaching for beginner, intermediate and advanced athletes. His passion for health and fitness goes back as far as he can remember and has helped shape his coaching style. Shawn takes a very holistic approach to coaching his clients.
